The mind behind MCS

Ashish Shakya is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Modern Cleaning & Servicing (MCS), bringing over a decade of leadership experience in Nepal’s facility management industry. Under his leadership, MCS has grown into one of Nepal’s trusted integrated facility management companies, delivering comprehensive hard and soft facility management services to prestigious national and international organizations.

Before returning to Nepal, Ashish lived and studied in Australia for over a decade, where he earned a Diploma of Hospitality Management, an Advanced Diploma of Business Management, and graduated in Business Management from Central Queensland University (CQU). His international education and extensive industry exposure have equipped him with a strong foundation in business operations, leadership, customer service, strategic planning, and organisational management.

Driven by professionalism, innovation, and continuous improvement, Ashish has successfully positioned MCS as a reliable partner for organisations seeking world-class integrated facility management solutions. His focus on quality, safety, sustainability, and technology has enabled the company to build long-term relationships with clients while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.

As a proud member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Ashish remains committed to adopting global best practices and advancing the facility management profession in Nepal. Message from the Founder

When we founded MCS, our goal was to redefine what businesses expect from a facility management partner. A well-managed facility is more than just clean spaces and working systems, it is a critical asset that drives operational efficiency and long-term financial value.

My foundational background includes an Advanced Diploma of Business Management, paired with a Degree in Business Administration from Central Queensland University (CQU), Australia. This extensive management background ensures our team handles complex logistics, vendor coordination, and day-to-day operations with absolute precision.

However, what truly sets us apart is financial accountability. Backed by my Postgraduate qualification in Accounting from IMC (Australian National Institute of Management and Commerce), I look at facility management through a dual lens: operational excellence and strict cost optimization. We don't just maintain your facilities; we protect your bottom line by auditing expenses, maximizing asset lifecycles, and engineering cost-efficient workflows.
